George Bishop
Dr. George Bishop is visiting assistant in research at Florida State University’s Learning Systems Institute. Prior to his arrival at Florida State, he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Gulf Coast State College and at Niagara County Community College, and was for 17 years a member of the faculty and later the chief academic officer at D’Youville College. Twice serving as Fulbright Professor of American Literature at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, Dr. Bishop received his Ph.D.
Kate Schell
Kate Schell is an Assistant in Research and a Literacy Specialist with the Learning Systems Institute. Kate has 10 years of experience working in international education development, supporting teacher capacity-building, and facilitating the development of culturally relevant learning materials for early-grade reading in local and indigenous languages. She has expertise in multilingual education and pedagogies for multilingualism and biliteracy. She has M.A. degrees in Linguistics from Florida State University and in Literacy Program Development from the University of Gloucestershire.
