Jo Ribeiro

Joaquim Ribeiro is a dual-degree student in Gender Studies and Sociology at Florida State University, engaged in educational research and program development within diverse cultural and social contexts. Joaquim has experience in both historical and sociological research, with a focus on identity-based groups and their educational experiences, as well as facilitating inclusive spaces for neurodivergent individuals. As a co-founder and president of the NeuroUnity Alliance Society, Joaquim promotes safe and supportive environments for neurodivergent students on campus. In addition to leading in the UROP program, Joaquim also contributes to global research projects in large class pedagogy and instructional practices under the mentorship of Adrienne Barnes-Story, supporting studies to advance effective teaching strategies for classrooms in low- and middle-income countries.
