Rabieh Razzouk, MBA, is LSI’s director and director of the Florida Center for Research in STEM (FCR-STEM) where he collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams of content and technology experts, instructional designers, STEM teachers, and researchers to improve and support high-quality education in Florida and worldwide. Razzouk joined LSI in 2003 and he is one of the most productive faculty members at Florida State University. Over the past ten years, he has secured more than 80 contracts and grants as a Principal Investigator (PI) and more than 90 total grants as a PI/Co-PI with an overall funding total of $120 million.

As an entrepreneur, Razzouk brings to LSI the capacity to forge partnerships, manage large-scale projects, and apply technology in creative ways to advance K-12 education. Razzouk founded and continues to lead the development of http://www.cpalms.org, a dynamic, web-based platform offering over 13,000 vetted educational resources for K-12 math, science and English/language arts teachers; 3,000 resources including hundreds of original tutorials for K-12 students in math, science, English/language arts, and civics; as well as cloud-based software applications for planning instruction. Razzouk launched CPALMS in 2008 and is responsible for the success of the platform and for its growth into a leading resource for educators worldwide. CPALMS serves millions of users per month from 220 countries and territories and it earned the title of Florida’s official source of the standards and course descriptions in 2011. More than 172,000 Florida educators use CPALMS’ cloud-based software applications including the curriculum mapping (CMAP) tool.

Razzouk and his team has provided extensive and successful professional development programs to more than 30,000 Florida K-12 educators. Not only participating teachers received access to curricular resources, many of them received classroom sets of math and science kits including scientific sensors, 3D printers, and more than 250,000 manipulatives that is helping improve math and science education in Florida.

Razzouk also created and led the development of the curriculum product that became MyStemKits.com. MyStemKits is a platform of K-12 curriculum for standards-driven instruction and 3D-printable manipulatives that provides an end-to-end STEM solution. The focus is on real-world, hands-on learning has been designed to promote deep conceptual understanding, so students are equipped to succeed in the 21st century.

Razzouk’s research interests include software and hardware development, augmented and virtual reality, curriculum development, professional development, and integrated STEM.
