As someone who aspires to make a difference in the world, Dr. Adrienne Barnes-Story was naturally drawn to the field of education. Her role in leading various international development projects with the Learning Systems Institute (LSI) has allowed her to do just that.

​For 53 years, the Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University has worked with 44 countries and received awards surpassing $750,000,000. During this time, LSI has established itself asone of the world’s leading institutes for developing and implementing innovative learning solutions. The faculty and staff’s impactful work continued this year, collaborating on International projects with educators, governments and organizations from seven countries in addition to numerous projects in the United States.

In 2021, Rabieh Razzouk was named the director of the Learning Systems Institute after nearly two decades working for the institute. While the position comes with an array of responsibilities, encouraging the faculty and staff to work on projects they're passionate about while assisting them with whatever they need to excel sits atop his list.

As part of International Education Month at FSU, LSI Director Rabieh Razzouk was a featured speaker on the Research Around the World panel.

The Learning System Institute at Florida State University has been awarded its fifth Florida TaxWatch Productivity Award. LSI Director Rabieh Razzouk was named a 2022 award recipient in technology with an estimated cost savings of $3,750,000.

For more than 50 years, FSU’s Learning Systems Institute has played a steady role in strengthening the university’s international standing and the impact it can have on the world.
