LSI and FSU InSPIRE Return to the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast Offering Free Professional Learning Courses for K-12 Teachers this Summer

For the third summer, the team leading educational and workforce development and STEM outreach on the FSU InSPIRE project at Florida State University’s Learning Systems Institute (LSI) will be conducting free professional learning courses for Northwest Florida Gulf Coast K-12 teachers.

Vilma Fuentes, Ph.D., Program Director for FSU's Ukraine Task Force and the Visiting Scholars Partnership Program, recently returned from Ukraine, where she met with the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service (NASBGSU) leadership to discuss collaborations between Florida State University, the Learning Systems Institute (LSI) and the academy.

In 1994, Malawi was an early adopter of a policy introducing free primary education across sub-Saharan Africa. The policy opened the doors for unmatched opportunities for children across sub-Saharan Africa but also led to major challenges. One of which was equipping teachers to teach classes of up to 300 students. Researchers at the Learning Systems Institute (LSI) began looking for solutions to this problem in 2022
