During this time, he gained valuable insights and best practices to inform his development of English curricula tailored to various categories of personnel.

Engaging Elementary Students Using AI-Powered Storytelling

Florida State's Learning Systems Institute (LSI) held its first professional learning course for K-5 Gulf Coast teachers from July 22 to 26. The teacher workshop, which is part of the workforce training and education component of FSU's Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education (InSPIRE), was conducted by the CPALMS staff from the Florida Center for Research in STEM.

LSI Continues To Move Towards Its Goals On The USAID STEP in Malawi Activity

The Learning Systems Institute (LSI) at Florida State University has led the USAID-funded Strengthening Teacher Education and Practice (STEP) in Malawi Activity since 2022. Among the achievements during the third quarter of 2024, staff members from STEP supported teacher educators in planning and implementing 50 Participatory Action Research (PAR) projects, produced two videos on phonological awareness and the STEP Activity supported the development of a refined continuous professional development (CPD) implementation plan.
