HONORS AND AWARDS

The Learning Systems Institute was honored the Multilingual Education Leadership Award from the University of Maiduguri Language Centre in collaboration with UNICEF. Ana H. Marty, Ph.D., lead the project that garnered the award with support from LSI’s Stephanie Simmons Zuilkowski, Ed.D., Adrienne Barnes-Story, Ph.D., and Marion Fesmire, Ed.D.

NOTABLE

LSI Director Rabieh Razzouk, associate director Gena St. John, and Ph.D. candidate Bhushan Dahal welcomed Farwa Aamer. the Director of South Asia Initiatives at the Asia Society Policy Institute, and Maher Nasser, Director of the Outreach Division and Commissioner-General of the United Nations, to the LSI offices to discuss LSI's impact on learning worldwide.

The CPALMS team at the Florida Center for Research in STEM (Learning Systems Institute) hosted a Career and Technical Education workshop led by FCR-STEMs Directors of STEM Outreach Carrie Meyers and Jim Reynolds.

The Florida Center for Research in STEM hosted the AIENGIN102 course, "Leveraging AI Prompt Engineering for Engineering Design Pedagogy," as part of FSU’s InSPIRE activity. STEM Specialist Robert Hanna (Learning Systems Institute) joined with Directors of STEM Outreach Carrie Meyers and Jim Reynolds (Learning Systems Institute) on the 20 hour virtual instruction course.

PRESENTATIONS AND CONFERENCES

Flavia Ramos-Mattousi, EdD.had the opportunity to present two papers at the 2024 International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation Conference in Seville, Spain. The proceedings for both full-text papers were recently made available on-line.
